WINE OF THE WEEK

This week's wine is the

2022 Château de Ségriès Liras Cuvée Réservée.  This exquisite Cotes du Rhone scored a 93 from Jeb Dunnuck.  It comes from the Lirac appellation in the southern Rhone.  It has a mix of 50% Grenache 30% Syrah 10% Cinsault and 10% Mourvèdre.  Usually this much Syrah will over power the Grenache, but this year the Grenache has really held its own.  It has notes of black cherries, leather, tobacco, pepper and spice.  I even got some notes of bell pepper.  We highly recommend decanting this wine for at least 30 minutes.  It just continues to open up and get more complex as the oxygen does its thing.  At $20 a bottle this is a steal!!
